the Wild Storm
Kara was one of the nine Valkyries cursed by Odin and sealed beneath the Witch's Cave in Midgard. Freed by Kratos and Atreus, she was reborn by Freya as a Shield Maiden and fought in the assault on Asgard.
Kara could call the dead up to fight beside her. No other cursed Valkyrie could do that, and neither could the queen. It is the one thing that separates her from the eight sisters who shared her sentence: Odin's curse, a body she could not leave, and a chamber sealed beneath the Witch's Cave in Midgard. The Draugr caller#
Odin bound all nine Valkyries into corporeal bodies, a state unnatural to their kind, and the madness came on slowly. What set Kara apart while it did was her hold over the Draugr. She could raise them to fight at her side, and the queen Sigrun could not. The corruption turned her skin a sickly pale blue and gave her wings of bluish grey plated in gold. Beneath the Witch's Cave#
She grew too dangerous to leave loose, and the Valkyrie Queen sealed her in a hidden chamber below the Witch's Cave in Midgard. Kratos and Atreus found it and destroyed the body the curse had made. The spirit inside gave them its gratitude and went to rejoin her sisters. (God of War (2018))
After Ragnarok#
Freya rebuilt her during Ragnarok with Vanir magic. The new body had her own colouring back, and organic birdlike wings in place of the metal ones. She named Kratos her general and went with the other Shield Maidens into the assault on Asgard. (God of War Ragnarök)

Atreus (Loki): Kratos's Son and the Truth of His Name
Atreus was the son of Kratos and the Jotunn Faye, born in Midgard and given the hidden name Loki. Across two great journeys he grew from a sickly boy into the prophesied champion of the Giants, the god of mischief whose fate was bound to Ragnarok.
Kratos
Kratos was the demigod son of Zeus who rose from a Spartan general to the Greek God of War, destroyed the pantheon of Olympus in a quest for vengeance, and then began again in the Norse realms as a father seeking to leave his bloody past behind.
Sigrun: the Valkyrie Queen Kratos freed
Odin's curse drove the Valkyrie Queen mad, so Sigrun imprisoned her eight sisters and then herself. Kratos and Atreus beat her and freed her spirit.
Asgard

Freya
Freya was the Vanir goddess of love, war, and magic who married Odin to end the Aesir-Vanir War and was cursed to remain in Midgard. Once the Witch of the Woods, she aided Kratos and Atreus, swore vengeance after the death of her son Baldur, and at last turned her wrath on Odin himself.
