Farok was a Fremen of Sietch Tabr who rose to Bashar of the Ninth Legion during Muad'Dib's Jihad, leading campaigns on distant worlds before he was killed by the Face Dancer Scytale.

During the Jihad of Paul Atreides, Farok became Bashar of the Ninth Legion and fought on a number of worlds. At Enfeil he led his legion to victory, and at Naraj his son was blinded by a stone burner. A Fremen of Sietch Tabr, he was marked by the Eyes of Ibad, the total blue of long exposure to melange, and was described in his later years as having a white beard and a narrow face.
