The journey through the Region of Earth#

The journey took weeks. Korgot led OnuaOnua, Master of Earth: The Sage Toa of OkotoOnua of Okoto was the Master of Earth summoned by the Protectors, the quiet sage who separated Tahu and Kopaka at the Ancient City and felled the Lord of Skull Spiders with his Earthquake Hammer. through the tunnels and caverns beneath the Region of EarthRegion of EarthThe western elemental region of Okoto, home of the Earth Tribe and the Protector Korgot, a country of treacherous ravines, obsidian fields, and underground tunnels, and the territory through which Onua hunted for the Golden Mask of Earth., country she had been raised to navigate and that the ToaThe Toa: Heroes of the Matoran UniverseThe Toa were biomechanical guardians sworn to protect the Matoran, bound by a strict code and defined by sacrifice across every age of the universe. was unfamiliar with despite his elemental affinity. The terrain favoured the local guide. Treacherous ravines and crevices broke the surface above, while the underground network presented its own hazards in the form of cave-ins, narrow passages, and the Skull SpiderSkull SpidersThe arachnid swarm that raided the villages of Okoto, clamped infection masks onto its captives, guarded the City of the Mask Makers under the Lord of Skull Spiders, and broke against the arrival of the Toa. populations that had spread through the tunnels during the long silence after the Battle of the Mask MakersThe Battle of the Mask MakersThe unveiling of the Mask of Ultimate Power at Capital City, the strike of the Hammer of Power, and the cataclysm that drew a metropolis into the Shadow Realm and left Okoto without its Mask Makers..

Korgot's pragmatism made the partnership work.
