Wallach IX was the ninth planet of the Laoujin system and the seat of the Mother School of the Bene Gesserit. From it the Sisterhood trained its acolytes, convened its councils, and plotted against the House of Atreides.

It was on Wallach IX that the order trained its acolytes, Lady Jessica among them, and from it the Reverend Mothers directed much of the long campaign by which they sought to keep the Atreides bloodline under their control.
The Mother School#
Wallach IX was the home of the Mother School of the Bene Gesserit, the institution at which the Sisterhood trained its acolytes in the disciplines that defined the order. Lady Jessica, concubine of Leto Atreides I and mother of Paul Atreides, graduated from the school. In 10191 AG, Gaius Helen Mohiam held the office of Proctor Mother Superior of the Bene Gesserit school on Wallach IX, and she sat upon a Bene Gesserit council on the planet.
The conspiracy against the Atreides#
Twelve years after Paul Atreides's ascension to the Golden Lion Throne, a conspiracy gathered on Wallach IX. Princess Irulan, the Guild Navigator Edric, Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohiam, and the Tleilaxu Face Dancer Scytale met there to plot the destruction of the House of Atreides. Irulan wished to bear the royal heir, Edric wished to break the Atreides monopoly on spice, and Mohiam wished to bring the Atreides bloodline back under Bene Gesserit control. It was at this meeting that Scytale revealed the Bene Tleilax had created a ghola named Hayt, grown as a copy of Duncan Idaho.
In 10219 AG the Bene Gesserit Council on Wallach IX filed a formal protest against House Corrino for the assassination of Leto Atreides II.
The God Emperor and the hidden Mentat school#
A Mentat ghola of Duncan Idaho visited Wallach IX during the reign of God Emperor Leto Atreides II, sent to suppress a Mentat school that the Sisterhood had believed it kept hidden there. On the planet Duncan met the Reverend Mother Tertius Eileen Anteac.
The Honored Matres#
Centuries after the Fall of the God Emperor, during the onslaught of the Honored Matres, Wallach IX was attacked by forces returning from the Scattering. According to a report received by the Great Honored Matre Dama, the planet was either subjugated or completely destroyed.
